Southern Belle’s in Plainfield is nothing short of sensational. Even during a busy breakfast rush on a Sunday morning, service and quality was top-notch. I received my food within five minutes of ordering!
The eggs and hash browns exuded a strong classic dinner style feel and taste. Together they were even better. The sausage links had a perfect smoky flavor that tied the dish together well. The main is a good choice if you are looking for a nostalgic, classic American breakfast because it comes with an order of two pancakes.
The pancakes were giant and were almost like a second main dish. They were perfectly fluffy and as big as the plate they were served on. The sweetness of the pancakes created a nice balance with the savory eggs and sausage and were actually the best food I had during my visit.
Another upside was that the water came in mason jars, which I thought was a good touch to the overall country vibe of the restaurant. Southern Belle’s is extremely welcoming and has a homey feel. To top it off, I only paid $15 for all the food I had, which is a pretty good price for the serving size that was provided.
I saw no downsides during my visit. I was seated right away and the waitress took my order within a couple minutes. The food came out extremely quickly, and I was impressed with the high quality of the meal.
Because of the food and service, I rate Southern Belle’s a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a high-quality breakfast. Southern Belle’s offers a variety of different breakfast options that include various omelets, crepes, and much more. They even have a lunch menu if that is what is being craved. I will definitely be going back to Southern Belle’s sometime soon to try more of their delicious food.
